Kansas’ breastfeeding rates lag behind national averages, and breastfeeding moms face many challenges. Local breastfeeding coalitions are a proven way to address barriers, explore opportunities and improve support for breastfeeding. Good coalitions don’t just happen. Join us to learn how to start a breastfeeding coalition in your community or how to move your existing coalition from ordinary to incredible. Join the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition and others from across Kansas to create an impact in their communities.
Join us on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at Eugene Hughes Metropolitan Complex, 5015 E. 29th Street N., Wichita, KS. Babes in arms are welcome but strollers are discouraged due to space limitations.
Come alone or with your community team to explore how to form and sustain a breastfeeding coalition and leave with action plans to improve breastfeeding support on the community level.
As a participant you will receive a free 2018 membership in the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition.
Registration closed but walk-ins are welcome.
