The Nebraska Breastfeeding Coalition and CHI Health are pleased to present their biennial conference, Beyond Best Practices: Creating a Supportive Environment for Breastfeeding Families.

Target audience:
Physicians (OB/GYN, internal medicine, pediatric and family medicine), nurses, lactation consultants, registered dietitians, residents, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, breast feeding advocates, social workers, students.

Global Learning Outcomes:

  • Establish a sustainable support infrastructure in rural and resource constrained communities, particularly for populations that experience breastfeeding disparities.
  • Implement evidence based practices that support the initiation and duration of breastfeeding with a goal of informing and establishing supportive policies.
  • Use strategies that will support the working-breastfeeding mom, such as connecting community breastfeeding advocate with employers to strengthen employee support.
