Michelle Finn is an international board certified lactation consultant and an accredited La Leche League leader.  She is a member of the International Lactation Consultant Association, the United States Lactation Consultant Association, the Greater Kansas City Lactation Consultant Association.  She is currently the Past Chair for the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition.  She is a magna cum laude graduate of Missouri State University, and holds a master’s of science degree in management from Baker University.

Michelle has been working with breastfeeding mothers since 2006 in a variety of settings including prenatal education, home- and hospital-based postpartum care and community support.  She currently oversees the lactation services department at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission and is leading the hospital’s journey to Baby-Friendly designation.  Michelle is committed to enabling more women to meet their breastfeeding goals and seeks to promote a broader understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the development of mother and child.  When she isn’t working, she enjoys music, cooking, yoga and raising her 13-year-old son.
