The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony opening a new, separate and private lactation room in the Capitol building (Room 186B-N) on Friday, Jan. 11 at 9 a.m.

Individuals expected to attend and speak at the ribbon-cutting include Governor-Elect Laura Kelly, Speaker of the House Ron Ryckman, Representative Eileen Horn, Representative Jim Ward, KDHE Deputy Secretary for Public Health Ashley Goss, Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition Executive Director Brenda Bandy and John Wilson, VP of Advocacy, Kansas Action for Children.
