The KBC Child Care Section created the Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Provider Toolkit to help child care providers created a breastfeeding friendly environment and program. 512 child care providers complete the KBC’s 2-hour course “How to Support the Breastfeeding Mother & Family” online though KCCTO with KBC instructor Vanessa Flood. In addition, this course was presented online in July to a large child care center in Kansas City as well as for Child Start in October, reaching another 64 child care providers.
