Color-Filled Breastfeeding:
Clinical Lactation Training Program

The Color-Filled Breastfeeding: Clinical Lactation Training Program was developed by the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition to increase the number of highly skilled lactation consultants available to serve Kansas families. The Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition is proud to partner with local healthcare facilities as well as community partners to train the future of lactation in Kansas! Color-Filled Breastfeeding is open to all Kansans but will focus on providing scholarships to Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) lactation consultants in Kansas, who are greatly underrepresented in skilled lactation professions.
By providing clinical placement opportunities to qualified lactation students, Kansas IBCLCs and their facilities can make an important contribution to health equity for families in their community who will benefit from having access to culturally congruent lactation care now and into the future.

Who We Serve
Join a section to get more involved with the KBC
Through our coalition sections, we advance change to create a Kansas where breastfeeding is not only normalized but celebrated. Each section meets regularly to discuss issues that impact breastfeeding families in Kansas, including legal policy, accessible healthcare, and building communities that support breastfeeding.
We welcome and encourage participation from anyone interested in making breastfeeding and human milk feeding more accessible and equitable in Kansas through advocacy and leadership.
