ZERO TO THREE is looking for a family from Kansas to go to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC for the 2024 national Strolling ThunderTM on April 30! ZERO TO THREE will once again bring one family with a child under age 3 from every state and DC to Capitol Hill for Strolling Thunder to talk with their Members of Congress about the policies their babies need to thrive.
They are looking for a family from Kansas with at least one child who will be under the age of 3 (as of April 30, 2024) who see themselves as advocates – by speaking up for their child’s needs and/or contacting elected officials about issues important to their family. Zero to Three will provide:
- Travel costs for the selected parent or caregiver, any children under the age of 3 on April 30, and one adult travel companion;
- Training and support for their meetings with their Members of Congress; and
- Opportunities and support in sharing their story in ways that can help move policy beyond Strolling Thunder.
Families must be available to participate in preparation activities leading up to April 30 and must be available to travel to DC from April 28 – May 1.
