Breastfeeding Webinars
Staying Current With Breastfeeding Issues

Our breastfeeding webinars cover current events that impact breastfeeding.
The Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition offers webinar talks and courses on occasion to cover current issues in breastfeeding. Our breastfeeding webinars are a great supplement to our regular courses. They’re taught online and often recorded so they can be accessed again if you’re not able to attend live.
We invite guest speakers to speak on important cultural issues as they relate to breastfeeding. Past topics have included Obstetrical Racism, Lactation in Latino Communities, and Breastfeeding Support during the COVID-19 pandemic. These are great opportunities to ask questions and learn more about the state of breastfeeding in Kansas and nationally.
You can stay up-to-date with our latest webinar offerings by signing up for our newsletter or becoming a member of the KBC.

Lactation in Latino Communities
Learn from Paulina Erices, USBC board member, about lactation in Latino communities and how culture impacts breastfeeding. Latino culture celebrates children, the caregiver role, and breastfeeding. To embrace our traditions, Latino families in the US must have equal access to culturally and linguistically responsive lactation and medical care, and supportive childcare and work environment protections. Implicit or explicit barriers must be removed at the system and interpersonal levels.
