The Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition (KBC), a nonprofit working to create a culture of breastfeeding support in Kanas, is pleased to announce the election of Mandy Chapin and Diana Lady to its board of directors.

Mandy Chapin

Mandy Chapin joins the board as Secretary. Chapin is a hospital-based lactation consultant at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus – Topeka. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and is an active member of the local breastfeeding coalition in Topeka.

Diana Lady

Diana Lady will serve on the board as a Member at Large. Lady is the Co-Chair of the Kansas Community Health Workers Coalition.  She supports families in eastern Kansas as a health promoter for the Kansas Farmworkers Program

“With the addition of Mandy Chapin and Diana Lady to the KBC Board, the KBC is well positioned to continue forward with its mission to work collaboratively to create a landscape of breastfeeding support across Kansas,” said Stephanne Rupnicki, Chair of the KBC Board of Directors. “The future of the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition has never been more bright and promising.”

Elected by the KBC membership, the KBC Board of Directors is a talented cohort of breastfeeding advocates dedicated to supporting the organization’s mission and vision. Board members bring a wide range of expertise and experiences to their board service, and the composition of the 2021 Board directly reflects the KBC’s deep commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and representation.
