COVID-19 has presented new challenges and potential opportunities as it pertains to infant feeding in the postpartum period. What guidance should be followed and what is the priority? Join us to review the current CDC and WHO guidelines and discuss how they are being implemented in hospitals and community settings.

Speaker: Dr. Aunchalee Palmquist, medical anthropologist and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Dr. Palmquist studies global maternal and child perinatal health and health disparities; human milk sharing and milk banking; and infant and young child feeding in emergencies (IYCF-E). Dr. Palmquist is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Maternal and Child Health and the Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute at the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
