- Completed and began promoting the NEW “Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Toolkit
- Online training Oct. 6th “How to Support the Breastfeeding Family” for Child Start, the Child Care Resource & Referral Agency serving Sedgwick, Butler, Cowley, Sumner & Harvey counties
Hospitals: The Section heard from about the Kansas 2018 mPINC Report and how to improve their hospitals’ scores for the 2020 survey.
Local Breastfeeding Coalitions: No update in August
Public Health: The Public Health Section has been working to identify a new project that will use data from the Breastfeeding Support by Kansas County spreadsheet. Each section meeting continues to feature an organization that supports breastfeeding across the state of Kansas during “Learning Moments,” in August we learned what the Kansas Division of Emergency Management does, and in October, we will learn about KDHE’s Title V Program. The Public Health Section Meets the 2nd Thursday of even months from 11 AM to Noon. I hope you can join our next meeting Thursday, October 8th.
