Mission Statement: Promoting and protecting breastfeeding through education and collaboration with health professionals, breastfeeding advocates, and community members of Leavenworth County.

Vision Statement: Breastfeeding is supported and encouraged at all levels to promote optimal health for mothers and babies.

Current and Past Projects:

• Developed and maintain a Leavenworth County Breastfeeding Resource List. Distributed this list to local community partners and health care providers
• Promoted “High 5 for Kansas” at our local hospital
• Organized a 2014 Celebrating Breastfeeding Picnic for World Breastfeeding Week
• Promoted “How to Support the Breastfeeding Mother & Family” course to child care providers
