Ford County Health Department is the first to achieve the Breastfeeding Friendly Local Health Department designation in recognition of its support for breastfeeding families. They successfully met the criteria for this prestigious designation, firmly establishing their health department as a leader in breastfeeding support in Kansas. LHD’s interested in achieving this designation can join a series of quick 20-minute “deep dives” into each of the criteria for the NEW Breastfeeding Friendly Local Health Department designation during the first part of the Kansas Breastfeeding Coalition’s Public Health Section meetings on the 3rd Thursday of even # months from 11-12 June 2022 – Aug. 2023.
